​Texas SandFest is the largest native-sand sculpture competition in the United States, attracting artists and visitors from around the world. In 2025, the festival is scheduled for April 25–27. ​

Throughout this three-day event, professional and amateur sculptors will transform Port Aransas’s beaches into a vibrant outdoor art gallery. Attendees can expect to see intricate sand sculptures, participate in sand sculpting lessons, and enjoy live music performances. The festival also features a variety of food vendors, artisan booths, and family-friendly activities.

Pre-Festival Activities:

April 15-18

• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Free public sandcastle-building demonstrations by Andy Hancock outside the North Gate.

  $30 Entry Fee

Tuesday, April 22 – Thursday, April 24:

• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM: Guest relations and ticket tent open for wristband pick-up and advanced sales (cash only).  Wristband prices each: $30-Adults 13+ and $5-Youth aged 6-12​  $30 Entry Fee

Wednesday, April 23:

• 6:00 PM: Flag-raising ceremony.
