We parade rain or shine from 11-1 ish starting at the Whitecap beach entry and proceeding towards the location of the once and future Bob Hall Pier.
Spectating is always FREE, but we welcome sponsors and donations for our cherished charities.
Location
The Barefoot Mardi Gras event is located on North Padre Island. Only 20 minutes from Port Aransas. The
parade route is from Whitecap Blvd Beach Access to the Pier.
Take Hwy 361 to Padre Island > Turn left Park Road 22 > Left on Whitecap until you arrive at Whitecap Beach>

Barefoot Mardi Gras is an unofficial Island Holiday! Here are some tips on how to prepare for spectating the Barefoot Mardi Gras Parade:
- Arrive early as the beach fills up fast. Or plan to park at Briscoe King Pavilion and walk down to the beach.
- Beach will close to driving traffic at around 1030am in preparation for the parade.
- Park outside of the marked/coned area as the main roadway will be for the parade.
- Bring water and snacks for the day.
- Bring a chair if are unable to stand for the duration of event.
- Pretty chilly in the morning but plan on a beautiful sunny day!
