Join an experienced Bird Guide for a short walk to learn about the many birds in the Port Aransas area.Β  Weekly guided birding tours are offered free of charge on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. at Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center.

The Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center is a renowned birdwatching destination located in Port Aransas, Texas. Named in honor of local conservationist Leonabelle Turnbull, the center offers visitors a unique opportunity to observe a wide variety of bird species in their natural habitat and our resident Alligator named “Boots.”

Situated along the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center features a network of boardwalks and observation platforms that wind through diverse coastal habitats such as marshes, wetlands, and ponds.
