Port Aransas Days Festival

Port Aransas Days or Port A Days Festival is an annual festival celebrating the town’s birthday.  The day starts with a parade through town that ends at Roberts Point Park with a Festival, Anything But A Boat Competition, and a Chili Cook-off! With lots of vendors and activities, the day is full of fun for the whole family.

Anything But A Boat Competition?

You heard that right, anything but a boat competition. This means participants must build using whatever materials necessary to create a floating vessel, hence anything but a boat. Homemade boats will need to be propelled by hand or paddle, from one side of the Port Aransas Marina to the other. The winner gets a prize and a trophy.  Grab your duct tape, floaty, upcycled chair or whatever else you can think of and craft your boat to compete in the race.

Chili Cookoff
