Texas Woman Anglers Tournament

Texas Women Anglers Tournament is a woman-only fishing tournament. This lively tournament comically dubbed as TWAT has been casting its lines in the water since the 1980’s.
In the spirit of, girls just wanna have fun, these woman anglers have no limits! Each year participants choose a theme, dress in costume, and decorate their boats and captains to match. It is quite a fun spectacle to see.
From whimsical Disney-inspired themes to Mardi Gras, Mariachi, and more there is no telling what the ladies with think up next. I for one can’t wait to see them at the upcoming tournament!

The 2024 TWAT schedule has not been finalized. This is last years schedule to get an idea of what to expect for this years tournament:
FRIDAY
Port Aransas Civic Center | 710 W Ave A | Port Aransas, TX 78373
5:30PM – Registration – Registration, Dinner, and Cash Pots will be held at the Port Aransas Civic Center. Captains Meeting will take place approximately 7:30
7:30PM – Boats may depart through the Port Aransas Jetties following the Captains Meeting
SATURDAY
Fisherman’s Wharf | 900 Tarpon St | Port Aransas, TX 78373
6:30AM – Lines In – Fishing Begins
4:30PM – Lines Out – Cease Fishing
5:00PM – Weigh Station Opens – Fisherman’s Wharf
7:30PM – Boats must be inside the Port Aransas Little Jetties
SUNDAY
