Start your day with coffee and breakfast at one of Port A’s local cafรฉs before strolling around town. You will be browsing colorful boutiques and discovering public art tucked throughout the island.

Activity 1:

One of the best ways to experience Port Aransas is by taking a self-guided mural tour. Hop on a golf cart and explore the island’s colorful public art. This is nice to do early, before it gets hot, to get the creative juices flowing.

  • Use the Port A Bucket List Art Map to find all the murals. (Once you click on the map, be sure to use the little slide on the top left to select what you want to see on the map)
  • Be on the lookout for all the painted Farley Boats around town too!

Activity 2: Artsy Shops

Spend some time browsing the local art scene.ย You might even find the perfect piece to remember your trip.

  • Port Aransas Art Center – you’ll find rotating exhibits featuring talented local and regional artists, a gift shop full of handmade treasures.
  • Gratitude – this is a must-visit – the vibe and the things and the bubbles and car eyelashes….
  • Hidden Gallery – run by a local artist/muralist- you will find some cool beach art and some funky stuff you didn’t know you needed! You can even snag a mini Farley Boat of your own to take home! >> 600 Cutoff Rd Port Aransas TX
  • Loving Living Coastal – this is the coolest little shell shop in town. You can totally get inspired with all the shells to craft a project or buy something already made.

Activity 3: Create Something Together

Nothing makes a better souvenir than something you create yourselves.

Head over to Fire It! Ceramics and paint pottery together. It’s relaxed, fun, and gives you a keepsake you’ll actually use at home.

Time for Food!!

Enjoy a nice lunch or dinner at some of our favorite awe-inspiring spots. You choose your level of AWE.

  • Trout St. – This beautiful establishment has loads of old-town charm and plenty of photo spots, and you can sit on the back patio right on the water with a view of the marina. Fine dining with a casual atmosphere.
  • Seafood & Spaghetti Works, with gorgeous vaulted ceilings and where you can snap a pic with the “Greetings from Port Aransas” mural.
