Mother’s Day weekend is the second weekend in May and spending Mother’s Day weekend in Port Aransas, Texas, is a wonderful way to show your appreciation and enjoy some quality time together. Here’s a suggested itinerary to help you make the most of your weekend in this charming coastal town:

Arrival & Relaxation

Day 1: Friday

Arrival: Arrive in Port Aransas and check into your accommodation. Whether you prefer a cozy hotel, a luxurious resort, a beachside vacation rental, or even a scenic campground, there’s something for every taste and budget. Be sure to book early, especially for a weekend getaway! You can essentially park your car for the week and and get everywhere you need to go via golf cart. They are gas powered and come with premium seats for a cushy tooshie, Bluetooth and windshields.

Adventure & Exploration 

Day 2: Saturday –

Breakfast: We have a few great places to grab breakfast. Island Bakery and Coffee Waves offer breakfast and Baristas! Or head over to Coaches or Island Cafe for the small town/big breakfast selection and of course breakfast is served at San Juans and Cancun Mexican restaurants.

Dolphin Watching Tour: Begin your day with an exciting dolphin watching tour. Several local tour companies offer boat excursions where you can see dolphins in their natural habitat. It’s an unforgettable experience for the whole family!

Self-Guided Tour: Next, head over to Port A Bucket List’s Maps and embark on a fun, self-guided adventure. Hop on your golf cart and explore murals, nature trails, historical landmarks, and hidden gems around town. Have you visited the Chapel in the Dunes? The WWII remnants? or seen Franklin D. Shopping: After your tour, take some time to browse the unique shops and boutiques in downtown Port Aransas. Mother’s Day Celebrations

Day 3: Sunday –

Brunch: Start Mother’s Day with a delicious brunch at one of the local eateries or surprise her with a full spread at your vacation rental.  Pancakes, and mimosas is always a great way to kick off the day.

Relaxation: After brunch, spend the day pampering your mom. Whether you’re lounging on the beach, strolling along the shore, or simply enjoying the view from your balcony, take time to relax and enjoy the moments together.

Stargazing: After dinner finish the evening with a magical stargazing session on the beach. The clear, dark skies of Port Aransas provide the perfect setting for observing the stars –Take a drive and a stroll down the beach for a peaceful and memorable way to end your Mother’s Day weekend.

Pro Tip: Be sure to book your vacation home and golf cart rentals in advance. Also not many places take dinner reservation in Port Aransas so be sure to plan to come before “normal” dinner times to get seated fast.

After Dinner   Does Mom like dancing or signing karaoke? You are in luck because Port Aransas is known for its live music all over town and with lots of styles to choose from. Country, Funk, Rock there is sure to be some dance vibes to get down with or sit back and watch the show. If Mom likes to sing there is always a few karaoke spots to swing through as well.
